A journey of friendship

Theatre-goers in Mansfield have the chance to venture the length and breadth of the country this October, without even leaving their seat.

End To End sees three young women who, in April 2012, made a daring and unusual journey from one end of Great Britain to the other.

This heart-warming production by Gramophone Theatre in association with Village Ventures Touring Scheme, shows at Create Theatre on Sunday 20 October from 7.30pm and follows the girls’ 18-day, 874-mile journey from John O’Groats to Land’s End.

The performance retells the story of their friendship, personal risk and connections on the road, which leads the trio to wonder whether the seeds planted will grow into something more meaningful.

Create Theatre co-ordinator Adam Pownall said: “We’re pleased to have the Gramophones back in Create Theatre. They were the first professional show we housed when the building opened in 2011.

“Not only do they produce inspiring pieces of theatre with such craft, but we’re pleased to have them here to commit to our promise of supporting emerging artists and companies –especially ones that are from Nottinghamshire.”

Tickets for this show cost £8 per person and £5 for concessions and can be purchased by calling 01623 413363 or by visiting www.createtheatre.co.uk
