ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a great opportunity for a dynamic, professional individual qualified in an appropriate discipline to join a forward thinking college to develop and teach across a range of courses which include Functional Skills English, ICT and a range of courses which are designed to develop and prepare young people for the world of work.

You will be part of the Foundation Studies team that works within the School of Care and Education and will primarily be working with learners who have learning difficulties and disabilities. 

You will deliver and assess on a variety of Entry and Level 1 programmes.  Experience of working with learners with learning difficulties and disabilities and/or behaviour difficulties is essential. You will be required to provide a supportive and professional environment that will aid the development of individual and groups of learners. You will be expected to be organised with excellent time management and administrative skills. You must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and show a flexible and professional attitude.   Experience of delivering Functional Skills English and/or Functional Skills ICT desirable but not essential.

You will ideally be educated to degree level and possess a relevant teaching/training qualification or be working towards this.  Ideally you will have some previous experience of working with students with a variety of learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
