College enhances course offering with new partnership

West Nottinghamshire College has developed a new and exciting partnership with e-Careers – a market-leader in the development and delivery of online education – to significantly expand its course offering and increase its engagement with SMEs across the UK.

Principal and chief executive Dame Asha has welcomed the partnership with e-Careers.

This new partnership is the latest development in the college’s work to provide extensive career and learning opportunities for young people, whilst aiding employers with accessible and cost-effective professional development programs for the benefit of their workforce.

Dame Asha Khemka, principal and chief executive of West Nottinghamshire College said: “Each year the college prides itself on supporting some 26,000 full and part-time students in securing new qualifications and carving their desired career path. By forming this new partnership with e-Careers we hope to significantly expand on this by offering hundreds of exciting e-learning courses, accessible from any PC or mobile device, across the country.”

Examples of the new online and accredited courses provided to the college through e-Careers include Prince2 project management, accountancy and book-keeping and IT courses certified by Microsoft and Cisco – with many e-learning opportunities also suitable for employers from across a range of industry sectors.

Chairman of e-Careers, Sir Eric Peacock, said: “West Nottinghamshire College is a renowned educational establishment, and one of the most successful colleges within the UK. e-Careers is, therefore, both honoured and excited about our new partnership, and feel that the e-learning offering will aid the college in building on its successful relationships with businesses from across the UK, through a varied and extensive online course offering.

“What’s more, the new e-learning platform will also enable the college to successfully impact on the lives of students and adult learners who are unable to physically attend due to an existing job role or geographical distance, for example.”
