Shakespearean cabaret in a pub

Mansfield’s Create Theatre will be turned into a medieval pub in November when Shakespeare’s stories are brought to life.

Midnight at the Boar’s Head presented by Fine Chisel Theatre is set in Shakespeare’s favourite London public house and features colourful characters and talented musicians who will breathe new life into the Bard’s tales.

The performance on Monday 11 November will bring a mix of folk-fuelled story-telling, live music and a real party atmosphere.  Some of the characters you’d expect to find there, propping up the bar. Others have been relocated from across the Complete Works.

The play was originally commissioned and produced by Theatre Royal Bath, Shakespeare Unplugged and was part of Fine Chisel’s Three Weeks Editors’ Award-winning Edinburgh Season 2012.

The show starts at 7.30pm and tickets cost £10 each or £8 for concessions and £5 for students.  Tickets can be purchased by calling 01623 413363 or by visiting www.createtheatre.co.uk
