Contract:Variable Hours

Salary:£13.72 per hour

Closing date:05/03/2020

Start date:TBC

Variable part time hours.

Our specialists are a distinctive mix of talent.  They are sector relevant, having gained significant expertise to know their sector inside out, being ‘credible’ in their field.  They are ingenious at imparting knowledge and skill to others, bringing alive and sharing their sector expertise in a way that will develop our apprentices to become experts in their own right.  They are equally comfortable engaging with the managing director of the business as they are the apprentice.

This is a great opportunity for a dynamic, professional individual with suitable vocational experience to be part of a team that supports the training and delivery of employees in the Housing and Property Management sector to achieve national standards as part of an Apprenticeship standard, delivered to levels 2, 3 and 4.

As a housing and property management trainer you will have extensive experience in the housing sector with experience of negotiation, management, vulnerable housing needs, customer service and up to date knowledge of legislation and regulation. In this role you will have a fantastic opportunity to share your knowledge and help learners to develop and evolve into senior property managers.

Our approach is based on and builds on good operational management processes and seeks to ensure that the processes and outcomes are based on relevant and realistic assessment of competence to undertake the role of a housing/property professional. Central therefore to this approach is the relationship of the apprentice to the employer and the effective use of appropriate performance management and supervision to maximise the potential of the apprentice within the work environment. However there is recognition of the need for appropriate processes to ensure the consistency and rigour of the apprenticeship through external input, the need to grade the apprenticeships and the need to establish a process of end point assessment that ensures the overall competency of the apprentice. Therefore, the Housing Specialist may be asked to deliver some or all of the following:

 Formative Assessment Level 2, 3 & 4

A portfolio of evidence developed through a formative assessment process.
Completion of an agreed qualification/assessment of knowledge.
Completion of English and mathematics at Level 2.

This is an exciting position to work as part of a team in the local and surrounding areas. Experience of training and delivery as part of an apprenticeship is essential. Experience or capability to deliver English, and Maths would be highly desirable.

You will develop and demonstrate best practise in training and learning delivery assuring standardisation. To work with the Quality Assurance Lead to design, develop and monitor resources for learner use.

We measure our success by how many of our clients achieve their apprenticeship programme and are happy with the service.   We also measure how many of our employers value the services we provide to their business and the contribution our apprentices make.

The role will require you to embed the college’s values; Respect, Integrity, Collaboration, High Expectations, Responsibility.
